The educational objectives of our activities are :

  • to make people aware of the environment problem and correlate it with the natural vegetable substances, the taste, and the now-forgotten culinary and botanical know-how !
  • to have agreeable human relationships thanks to our activities which are both entertaining and didactic, in a scholar or extra-scholar framework..
  • to learn how to respect nature by knowing it through the awareness of its richness (notion of ecology)
  • to awake the children and adults' intellectual curiosity, through the discovery of the taste and the fragrances.
  • to make the future generations reflect upon the eco-citizenship.
  • to pass on a popular knowledge acquired after a 15-year research, passion, and love of our Mother Nature

Example of activities :

- The garden of fragrances an flavours (about 100 plants)

  • a botanist's guided tour
  • posters of plants and their historical background

- The sensorial workshops : discovery of culinary plants

  • olfactory tests (games on fragrances) and tasting tests
  • taste sessions of fresh flowers and of a biological sugar-free soft beverage
  • the making of flower chocolates
  • the demonstration of flower jams cooked in 2 minutes
  • the elaboration of plant sorbets with a professional ice-cream maker
  • the possibility of watching slides and videos about our activities
  • dedicated books on the topic by the author

- Schedule :

The botanist's guided tour of the garden lasts 30-45 minutes for a class of 25-30 pupils.

Booking : 2 classes an hour maximum (while one is in the garden the other takes part in an activity)
